'Open goal of a signing. Bring him home': Portsmouth faithful send clear transfer statement over £4.5m Hull City man after latest development
Former Pompey favourite Abu Kamara is poised to leave Hull City this summer.
The Fratton faithful have been discussing a potential Pompey return for Abu Kamara this summer.
Sergej Jakirovic’s side, who secured a return to the top-flight after play-off victory at Wembley, have been under a transfer embargo for two windows due to late payments on loan signings and are still in danger of breaching outgoing profit and sustainability (P&S) rules.
The Hull Daily Mail have reported interest is rising from elsewhere in the 22-year-old, with a permanent exit on the cards.
The £4.5m signing still has two years to run on his current MKM Stadium terms, although the forward could be available for a cut-price free.
Kamara, of course, enjoyed an outstanding loan stay at Fratton Park, helping John Mousinho’s side to the League One title.
The ex-Norwich City man netted 10 goals and collected 11 assists during his time on the south coast.
And with the former Fratton favourite expected to be available this summer, it has prompted talk from supporters on social media, who are hoping to see the Blues make a move for the Hull man.

Pompey verdict over Abu Kamara return
Ash Hall: Yes sign him he was decent for us before he just got a better offer by hull which you can’t hold against him I know his record there wasn’t great but that could of been because of training style causing injuries but I do think JM would get him back to his best so yeah take a punt why not as long as we can afford it I do feel hull will probably want to much tho.
Gary Butcher: Worth getting back for me, Mous will get him firing again
Daniel Cadman: Absolutely take him, all day long. Won’t happen though, Eisner won’t do it and spend what’s needed. And what with us focusing on abroad… (which given last few seasons very risky and not proven champ quality)… but Abu gets Pompey and we love him. It’s an absolute open goal of a signing and would get a fair majority of the fans back onside I feel if it were to happen. But absolutely won’t so no point getting hyped about it.

Jo Wiseman: I'd take him on loan for a season to see how he does at this level before making him a permanent signing. He didn't do much at Hull, so he is still very much unproven in the championship.
Alan Kelson: We have the right manager to get the best out of him unlike Hull who wasted his talents. So I think yes if we can get him for the right price.
Ricky Jones: Go all in for him if we can get him for 2-3 million is a steal.
Rob Phillips: Bring him home.
Alan Derek: Yeah they paid £4.5m for him, which he was never worth. They then tried to play him out of position as LB, LM & LW & while he is a left-footer he plays better on the right.
When they eventually played him there he scored 5 with 3 assists, which makes him better than LeRoux, Blair, Swift, Anderson, Kosznovszky , Bowatt. So just because they paid too much for him, doesn't make him, worth that much, but yeah they will try to get their money back!
Mark Cammerer: Would be a great signing.
Peter Soley: Love to see him back, hopefully he's Championship standard.
