Family-run car retailer acquires Hampshire branches

Two Hampshire car retailers have been renamed following their acquisition by a local, established family-run retailer, as the business continues to expand its growing network.

Independent, family-owned motor retail group Waylands expanded its Volvo network in March with the acquisition of Cambridge Garage Havant and Cambridge Garage Petersfield. Following the acquisition, both car retailers have now been rebranded, from October 1, as Waylands Havant and Waylands Volvo Authorised Repairer Petersfield.

The acquisition brings Waylands’ total number of Volvo locations to eight, adding to its existing locations in Bristol, Newbury, Oxford, Reading, Swindon and Gloucester.

Waylands has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional customer care and a highly personalised service. The group’s commitment to customer experience was recognised earlier this year when it was named Volvo’s Retailer of the Year at the brand’s annual retailer awards.

All of Waylands’ showrooms provide customers with the opportunity to watch work being carried out thanks to an interior viewing window that overlooks the retailer’s repair centre. The new sites in Hampshire will also feature additional electrical charging points for visitors, and to reflect the Volvo’s growing line-up of electric cars.
