Players like Nesta Guinness-Walker, Kieran Sadlier, Kyle Wootton, Will Boyle, Liam Cullen, Stuart Findlay and George Thomas have all been credited with potential moves to Fratton Park as manager Danny Cowley looks to add to his squad this month.
But would they make the difference as the Blues turn their attentions to a promotion push over the second half of the season?
Well, we’ve had a look and have come up with a potential Pompey match-day squad if the rumours were true.
As expected, not all of them would make the cut.
However, with a few key additions, Cowley’s options suddenly looks a whole lot better.

The makeshift centre-back hasn’t put a foot wrong over the past couple of months playing alongside Sean Raggett. But with the possible arrival of Will Boyle and return of Clark Robertson, Ogilvie will most likely drop to bench if Pompey continue with three at the back. Although, it will be a huge call from Cowley if that's what he decides. Photo: Jason Brown

Danny Cowley has admitted he’s had to use the 35-year-old more than he would like because of injuries to his other midfield options. The holding midfielder has featured 25 times for the Blues already this season - the most out of any midfielder at the club. But with Thompson returning from injury, it will be interesting to see how the midfield battle pans out. Photo: Jason Brown

The former Luton man has been a forgotten man since his injury at the end of October. The 29-year-old had a flying start to his Pompey career after being involved in all of the Blues’ goals in the first three games. But his form fell off before his injury. With a return imminent, Cowley will have all his midfield options available to him but in this team Tunnicliffe just misses out on the starting XI. Photo: Graham Hunt

The Leicester loanee has had a shock rise in performances since November where he has revitalised Pompey’s attacking options. His performances have shown Blues fans what an out-and-out striker is capable of, but with Kyle Wootton in the starting XI it would be difficult to see him get the nod to accompany him over Ronan Curtis.
