Players like Nesta Guinness-Walker, Kieran Sadlier, Kyle Wootton, Will Boyle, Liam Cullen, Stuart Findlay and George Thomas have all been credited with potential moves to Fratton Park as manager Danny Cowley looks to add to his squad this month.
But would they make the difference as the Blues turn their attentions to a promotion push over the second half of the season?
Well, we’ve had a look and have come up with a potential Pompey match-day squad if the rumours were true.
As expected, not all of them would make the cut.
However, with a few key additions, Cowley’s options suddenly looks a whole lot better.

Swansea forward Liam Cullen has been touted to join the Blues this month but doubt remains where he would fit into the team. And with John Marquis the most unlikely out of all the players tipped to leave this window not to depart, his presence will probably rule out any move. That can change, of course, as Ellis Harrison has already proven. Photo: Robin Jones

18. SUB - George Thomas
The attacking midfielder was linked with a move to Fratton Park this week, and although QPR boss insisted he's a key member of his squad, he didn't rule out a move away for the attacking midfielder who desperately wants more game time. Would he be better than Michael Jacobs, who plays a similar role? That's a key question - but you get the sense that Cowley would be happy to cash in on the former Wigan man if the opportunity arose again.
