Already, 13 of Pompey’s third-tier rivals have revealed their retained lists ahead of the transfer window officially opening on June 10.
And as speculation grows about potential summer deals, there has been plenty of transfer talk involving League One club’s most prized assets.
The Blues themselves are at risk of losing one of their star men this summer, with Marcus Harness being touted with a move to Championship outfit Swansea.
They’ve also already lost keeper Gavin Bazunu, who made such an impact during his season-long loan from Manchester City.
Given that, we’ve taken a look at the top 20 third-tier aces from this season who could be on the move during the window.
Here’s what we found.

13. Kane Wilson - Forest Green
The right-wing back had a successful term at Forest Green - amassing 48 outings in Rovers’ title winning campaign. Despite being named in the League Two team of the season, Wilson’s future at the New Lawn remains unclear with the 22-year-old yet to pen fresh terms with the Gloucestershire outfit. 14. Cameron Brannagan - Oxford United
Brannagan impressed from midfield last season - scoring 14 times in 44 appearances from the centre of the park. Despite stating his desire to stay at the Kassam Stadium, Middlesbrough, Stoke, Preston Blackpool, QPR and Sheffield United are all keen to purchase the 25-year-old. United could be forced to cash in on their prized asset who enters the final year of his contract in the summer. Photo: James Chance

15. Cole Stockton - Morecambe
The striker has been one of the shock performers of the season, finishing joint third in the goal scoring charts. In a bid to keep their prized asset at the club, Morecambe have tabled a fresh contract for the 28-year-old, although there has been no agreement yet. The 23-goal striker has attracted interest from Pompey, Bolton, Preston and Rotherham who are all keen on the forward’s services. Photo: Robbie Stephenson

16. John Marquis - Lincoln
After scoring nine goals in 44 outings for both Pompey and the Imps in the last campaign, the striker looks set to be on the move again in the window. Reports claim Marquis is on Charlton's radar and is ready to make The Valley his next stop. Photo: Robin Jones
