Already, 13 of Pompey’s third-tier rivals have revealed their retained lists ahead of the transfer window officially opening on June 10.
And as speculation grows about potential summer deals, there has been plenty of transfer talk involving League One club’s most prized assets.
The Blues themselves are at risk of losing one of their star men this summer, with Marcus Harness being touted with a move to Championship outfit Swansea.
They’ve also already lost keeper Gavin Bazunu, who made such an impact during his season-long loan from Manchester City.
Given that, we’ve taken a look at the top 20 third-tier aces from this season who could be on the move during the window.
Here’s what we found.

5. Ryan Broom - Peterborough (on loan at Plymouth)
The Plymouth loanee remains high on Steven Schumacher’s shopping list this summer. The 25-year-old appeared 48 times while on a season-long stay at Home Park in the last campaign. A deal can be struck after the midfielder was transfer-listed by Peterborough following their relegation to League One. Photo: Pete Norton

6. Alex Gorrin - Oxford United
The Spaniard’s time at Oxford United looks set to come to a close after appearing to be released by Karl Robinsion. But the U’s boss is claimed to be keen on keeping the 28-year-old who has been strongly linked with moves elsewhere. Pompey have been joined by Sunderland, Wigan, Burton and Lincoln who are all in the running to sign the midfielder. Photo: Catherine Ivill

7. Lee Gregory - Sheffield Wednesday
The 33-year-old rekindled his goalscoring touch in the last campaign - scoring 17 goals in 41 outings under Darren Moore. Despite his age, interest in the striker has also reignited with Derby, Middlesbrough and Wigan all enquiring about his services. Photo: George Wood

8. Panutche Camara - Plymouth
Following a stellar season for the Pilgrims, Argyle have decided to cash in on the 25-year-old after he failed to agree a long-term contract at Home Park. The Guinea-Bissau international made 50 outings this term and is now being targeted by Peterborough and Sheffield Wednesday after he was placed on the club's transfer list last week.
