Championship football is back for Pompey, who make the long trip north to Lancashire today.
The Blues, of course, had their midweek contest against Ipswich Town postponed for a second time due to the weather, meaning John Mousinho’s men have enjoyed a full-week’s training.
Pompey are currently on a good run of form, having lost just one of their previous nine Championship matches in all competitions
This has seen them move up to 19th in the standings in recent weeks, putting more daylight between themselves and the relegation zone.
The Blues face a Preston side, who sit two points away from the play-offs and signed Callum Lang for a club-record fee on Monday.
We’ve taken a look at the early team and injury news from both camps ahead of this afternoon’s Deepdale fixture.

13. Josh Murphy - Out

15. Harvey Blair - Out
The winger has missed the previous four matches with a hip-flexor issue, which was sustained against Arsenal last month. Blair is another who is expected to return to action for next week’s game against Sheffield United. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
16. Franco Umeh - Out
Umeh is another member of Mousinho’s squad who has played his last action this term due to injury. The summer arrival suffered a hamstring problem against Arsenal in the FA Cup in January. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
