Championship football is back for Pompey, who make the long trip north to Lancashire today.
The Blues, of course, had their midweek contest against Ipswich Town postponed for a second time due to the weather, meaning John Mousinho’s men have enjoyed a full-week’s training.
Pompey are currently on a good run of form, having lost just one of their previous nine Championship matches in all competitions
This has seen them move up to 19th in the standings in recent weeks, putting more daylight between themselves and the relegation zone.
The Blues face a Preston side, who sit two points away from the play-offs and signed Callum Lang for a club-record fee on Monday.
We’ve taken a look at the early team and injury news from both camps ahead of this afternoon’s Deepdale fixture.

4. Callum Lang - Doubt
Lang made the move to Preston on Monday after making it clear he wanted to leave Pompey in the window. The forward had missed his final seven matches of his Fratton career due to a hamstring issue sustained after the 1-1 draw with QPR on Boxing Day. The 27-year-old has been spotted training for his new club this week and will be assessed whether he will play against his former side this afternoon. | Preston North End on X
