The Blues face an interesting summer with 9-10 new arrivals expected during the transfer window and the rumour mill already in full swing regarding potential incomings.
With that in mind, we have put together a possible starting line-up for next season, with some of the names mentioned.

9. Right wing - Gavin Whyte
The out-of-contract former Cardiff winger was initially linked with Pompey at the start of May. John Mousinho has admitted he's a huge admirer of the Northern Ireland international, who would add pace and a directness to the Blues forward line. The only problem is, Pompey are yet to following up any initial interest in Whyte, which makes you wonder why? Photo: Alex Davidson

10. No10 role - Tommy Leigh
It's all gone quiet on the Tommy Leigh front. Maybe Accrington's reported asking price is putting Pompey off? It's certainly a big outlay given his relative inexperience. Would no doubt improve Pompey at this moment in time, but would he be a regular starter once the transfer rumours gather more pace or when the transfer window closes? Perhaps not. Photo: George Wood

11. Left wing - Daniel Agyei
The 16-goal free agent was linked with a move to Pompey this week - and there's no doubt he'd be a welcome addition. This is a transfer rumour that the Fratton faithful should hope turns out to be true. Photo: Justin Setterfield

12. Centre-forward - Colby Bishop
Any striker, and there's been a few, linked with a move to Pompey this summer needs to know they'll be playing second fiddle to Bishop next season - if, erm, he stays! Photo: Jason Brown
