The Blues face an interesting summer with 9-10 new arrivals expected during the transfer window and the rumour mill already in full swing regarding potential incomings.
With that in mind, we have put together a possible starting line-up for next season, with some of the names mentioned.

5. Centre-back 2 - Ryley Towler
The January signing has already established himself as a firm fans' favourite. At this moment in time, he'd get the nod to start if the new season began tomorrow. However, John Mousinho is not afraid to drop him and he's likely to want at least one new centre-back through the door before the transfer window opens. Photo: Jason Brown

6. Left-back - Connor Ogilvie
It's another area Pompey are strong in, thanks to the Blues' Mr Reliable. So far, there's been no mention of a new left full-back amid the transfer speculation. However, Ogilvie needs better competition, irrespective of whether Denver Hume stays or goes. Photo: Jason Brown

7. Central midfield 1 - Marlon Pack
Pack would be asked to anchor a midfield two if the season started tomorrow. However, expect there to be better competition for places in this department next season following the departures of Ryan Tunnicliffe and Louis Thompson. Jay Mingi is also expected to leave. There could be up to three new faces battling for a place in the engine room next term, although no names have been mentioned yet. Photo: Jason Brown

8. Central midfield - 2
Morrell has been the subject of speculation himself this summer after John Mousinho admitted he's bracing himself for offers. Luckily, this team is based on 'incoming' rumours and not 'outgoings'. So thankfully Morrell sticks around to add additional quality to the Pompey engine room. Photo: Jason Brown
