The Blues face an interesting summer with 9-10 new arrivals expected during the transfer window and the rumour mill already in full swing regarding potential incomings.
With that in mind, we have put together a possible starting line-up for next season, with some of the names mentioned.

13. Substitute 1 - Josh Oluwayemi
In fairness, the chances of Oluwayemi remaining at Fratton Park next season to sit on the bench are remote. He's signed a new deal, but expect the keeper to go out on loan to gain some much-needed experience. If that happens, then expect the Blues to sign a second goalkeeper - but one who is prepared to play second fiddle to their first-choice stopper, who ever that might be. Photo: Jason Brown

14. Substitute 2 - Sean Raggett
The cult figure won't be happy being stuck on the bench, but there was enough from Bernard and Towler over the final few games of last season to suggest it's a role the former Norwich man might need to get used to. Photo: Jason Brown

15. Substitute 3 - Zak Swanson
Injury saw the former Arsenal youngster miss a huge chuck of the season following the turn of the year. He'll be like a new signing when he returns next term. Photo: Jason Brown

16. Substitute 4 - Tom Lowery
A firm favourite with the fans, but you suspect Lowery might have to dig deeper next term to establish himself as a regular starter. Much of the Pompey summer reshuffle is likely to centre around the attacking midfield/forward areas. Photo: Jason Brown
