John Mousinho’s side will also be desperate to retain their unbeaten start to the season and give the 1,400 members of the travelling Fratton faithful something to cheer on their midweek trip to the Abbey Stadium.
The latest on the injury front is that Marlon Pack, Tom Lowery and Anthony Scully remain out. However, Gavin Whyte is back in contention after missing Saturday’s 1-0 win against Carlisle through illness.
But what can supporters expect selection-wise ahead of the game against the U’s? Here’s how we think Pompey will line up tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

9. Right-wing: Paddy Lane.
The Northern Ireland international probably had one of his quietest games for Pompey on Saturday. That came as a surprise as he's been in perhaps his best form for the club since his January move from Fleetwood. Should be handed the chance to redeem himself against the U's. Photo: Jason Brown

10. No10: Tino ANjorin
John Mousinho has admitted he's not sure whether the Chelsea loanee can complete 90 minutes. Anjorin is still playing catch-up with his fitness and tonight's game would be his second start in four days. That means there'll be a discussion among the Blues coaching staff whether he starts against the U's. His withdrawal near the hour mark against Carlisle might just have handed him enough time to fully recovery. If not, Christian Saydee is not a bad player to have in reserve. Photo: Jason Brown

11. Left-wing: Abu Kamara
With Anthony Scully out through injury, Kamara has been making the left-wing role his own. Had a quiet game against the Cumbrians on Saturday, while Gavin Whyte might come into Mousinho's thinking here if he believes the on-loan Norwich man needs a breather. Photo: Jason Brown
