What a season it's been for Pompey so far and John Mousinho's squad.
It's been a campaign full of impressive performances for so many different reasons, as players live up to their billing, surprise packages emerge and assets grow.
But who are the players who have shone brightest so far? And who is finding form at just the right moment in the campaigh?
Pompey writer Jordan Cross has given his personal view of John Mousinho's squad with a rating out of 10 (players need to have made at least five appearances to feature).
21. Ryan Schofield - 5
Found the going tough at times when giving his chance. Decent in second half at Forest Green and impressive at Leyton Orient but also culpable on more than one occasion, prompting move for Matt Macey in January. | YouTube: Portsmouth FC
22. Anthony Scully - 5
Big hopes for the winger haven’t been fulfilled so far. Of course, knee surgery has been a big factor in that as he was building momentum but back now with the challenge of disrupting a fluent Pompey attacking line-up Photo: Jason Brown
23. Conor Shaughnessy - 9
Who saw that coming?! Looked to recruited as defensive back-up but has emerged as a shining light of Pompey’s season. Everything you need from a defender with quality on the ball and attacking threat to boot - seen in three crucial goals to date. Big shout for player of the season if form continues through run-in. | Getty Images
24. Jack Sparkes - 7
Exeter’s loss was most certainly Pompey’s gain. Quality in that left foot in terms of set-pieces and crossing ability quite possibly unsurpassed at this level. Eight assists to his name and has improved his defensive work across the season. Photo: Jason Brown
