What John Mousinho has said about ‘impressive’ Portsmouth new-boy Marko Milovanovic after landmark €5m capture
Pompey have confirmed the landmark capture of Marko Milovanovic.
The wait to see Marko Milovanovic in a Pompey shirt is over after weeks of speculation.
And John Mousinho has expressed his delight at finally capturing the powerful Serbian striker.

Pompey seal long-awaited landmark striker deal
His signing represents the highest fee paid by the Blues since 2008 and eclipse Rocco Shein and Hayden Matthews as the most valuable capture under Tornante’s ownership.
The 6’4 frontman netted 10 goals during a successful stay with Portuguese top-flight outfit Alverca last term, guiding Sergio Ferreira’s side to an 11th-placed finish.
Milovanovic’s move to Fratton Park brings to an end a four-year stay with UD Almeria, where he scored five goals in 35 appearances.
Nonetheless, the Serbian’s arrival adds much-needed reinforcements to Mousinho’s frontline, which yielded just five goals in all competitions last term.
And the head coach has shared his delight at bolstering his attacking department with the €5m capture.
What Pompey boss has said after €5m capture of Marko Milovanovic

Speaking on the club website following Milovanovic’s signing, Mousinho said: ‘We are delighted to strengthen our attacking options with the signing of Marko.
‘He has the physical attributes required to compete in English football, but is also someone comfortable with the ball at his feet.
‘His goal return in Portugal last season was impressive and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do for Pompey as we look to build on our past two campaigns in the Championship.’
It remains to be seen whether Milovanovic will feature against Wycombe Wanderers this Saturday as Pompey head to Adams Park to continue their pre-season schedule.
