Portsmouth confirm landmark signing of striker Marko Milovanovic to end weeks of transfer speculation
Pompey have unveiled Marko Milovanovic as their latest summer transfer window signing
Marko Milovanovic is finally a Pompey player.
After weeks of transfer speculation, the Blues have officially announced the Serbia striker as their next signing, with the 22-year-old putting pen to paper on a four-year deal at Fratton Park.
The deal is subject to registrations being confirmed by FIFA, The FA, and the EFL.
Milovanovic moves to Pompey after an ‘undisclosed’ fee was agreed with UD Almeria, although The News understands the figure is around €3.5m up front with a potential €1.5m coming in add-ons.
The transfer fee will be the biggest transfer outlay from the Blues for a player since Younes Kaboul moved to PO4 from Spurs for £6m in 2008.
Also known as Marezi, the forward bolsters a forward department that produced just five goals during the entire 2025-26 season.
He’ll rival both Colby Bishop and Thomas Waddingham for a starting berth in John Mousinho’s starting XI , with Makenzie Kirk having already moved to League One Barnsley on loan.
Milovanovic joins Odin Bailey, Eoin Kenny and Rocco Shein in moving to the Blues ahead of their latest season in the Championship.
The former Partizan forward scored three goals in 35 appearances for Almeria after moving to the Spanish outfit in 2022.
Last season, when on loan at Portuguese side Alverica, the 6’4’ striker bagged 10 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.
