Fratton Park has undergone another transformation this summer - this time on the pitch.
The Blues have spent £1.5m reconstructing the surface at PO4, with the installation of a new hybrid sand-based pitch and drainage system.
The pitch is 95 per cent natural and five per cent artificial, with 426 kilos of rye grass seed planted as well as the installation of 24 pitch sprinklers.
Supporters will also notice a new blue trackway along the edge of the pitch, which has been added to aid player safety.
The News were given exclusive access to catch a first glimpse of the new-and-improved surface after the £1.5m summer upgrades.
