‘It’s not fair’: Burton Albion boss provides fresh transfer update on reported Portsmouth, Lincoln City & Charlton Athletic target
Pompey have been linked with a move for Burton Albion attacker Tyrese Shade.
Gary Bowyer will make a judgement over reported Pompey target Tyrese Shade’s involvement for Burton Albion for their fixture against Leicester City on Saturday.
But the head coach has admitted he’s ‘not heard’ any fresh developments over the attacker’s potential departure amid apparent interest from Fratton Park.
The Blues are believed to be on the trail of the 26-year-old as John Mousinho looks to strengthen his attacking ranks following Thomas Waddingham’s injury setback.

The Aussie’s absence will likely see Pompey delve into the attacking market before the September 1 deadline, with Mousinho hinting at the possibility of recruiting a versatile forward.
Indeed, the Blues were last week touted with a move for Shade, who enjoyed a brilliant maiden campaign with Burton. The St Kitts and Nevis international netted 14 goals in all competitions for Bowyer’s side, who finished 17th in League One.
His impressive goal-scoring form is said to have alerted Mousinho’s men as well as Championship rivals Charlton Athletic, while Lincoln City have reportedly had multiple £2m bids rejected for his services this summer.
Amid speculation over his future, Shade missed Burton’s opening two matches of the campaign due to a groin issue sustained in training on the eve of the new season.

Burton boss provides update on reported Pompey target
But in a fresh update ahead of their League One contest against Leicester City this Saturday, the Brewers boss has revealed the forward has returned to training but will make a call over his involvement amid the ongoing transfer speculation.
Speaking to BBC Radio Derby, he said: ‘Tyrese has trained all week. There’s been no further developments as far as I’m aware.
‘I’ve not heard anything today in terms of if he’s changed or anything like that
‘My gripe about the situation with the window being open is exactly that. It’s not fair on the players as well.
‘I’ll have a chat with him tomorrow and see where he’s at with that and, you know, judge it off how he is and make the right call for the team.’

Pompey have already recruited nine faces during a hectic summer at Fratton Park as Mousinho assembles his new Championship squad.
Odin Bailey, Eoin Kenny, Rocco Shein, Marko Milovanovic, Daniel Bielica, Luke Brooke-Smith, Abu Kamara, Ryan Kavuma-McQueen and Benjy Arthur have all arrived in the window so far.
That number is expected to increase before the September 1 deadline, with the head coach targeting at least three further additions.
A left-back, central midfielder and a versatile attacker are all on the Blues’ shopping list before the end of the window.
