Is Lincoln City v Portsmouth on TV? Kick-off time? Tickets and how to watch Championship showdown

Pompey travel to Sincil Bank on Saturday to face newly-promoted Lincoln City.

When is Lincoln City v Pompey?

Pompey are looking to bounce back from their opening-day defeat against QPR this weekend as they face Championship new-boys Lincoln City.

Both sides will be looking to pick up maximum points for the first time this season after the Imps also tasted defeat in their curtain raiser with Middlesbrough last week.

With Lincoln playing their first match in the Championship at Sincil Bank in 65 years, Sky Sports have selected the contest for live coverage on their Main Event and Football channels.

The game will now kick-off at the earlier time of 12.30pm on Saturday lunchtime to avoid the 3pm blackout, which comes into effect this weekend.

Can I get tickets?

The Fratton faithful quickly snapped up their full allocation for their first league trip of the campaign.

The Blues, of course, sold out their 9,000 allotment for their Carabao Cup showdown against West Ham earlier this month, with that trend set to continue on Saturday.

John Mousinho’s men will be backed by 1,200 supporters at Sincil Bank as they bid to secure their first three points of the season.

Will it be on TV and can I stream it?

Supporters unable to attend the action on Saturday will be able to watch the contest unfold on Sky Sports.

There will be in-depth build-up from studio guests, who will be providing analysis before kick-off, at half-time and after the full-time whistle.

Coverage begins from 11.30am on the Sky Sports Football channel, with the fixture also available to watch on the Sky Sports Main Event channel from Midday.

Alternatively, a NOW TV membership can be purchased, with day passes to stream the match - as well as Sky Sports’ 12 other channels - available for £14.99.

Supporters can also follow every Pompey game live on Pompey+, the club’s official streaming platform.

UK-based fans can purchase an audio match pass for full live commentary. Overseas supporters can buy a video match pass to watch the game live.

Simply visit: www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/videos/subscriptions and select Match Passes - options will automatically appear based on your location.

The News will, as usual, be providing extensive online coverage, with team news, live blog, match report, player ratings as well as player and manager reaction stories.

Team news

Injuries continue to hamper Pompey ahead of their trip to Sincil Bank, with as many as eight players set to sit out.

The Aussie was withdrawn just minutes after his second-half introduction at the London Stadium having been on the receiving end of a poor challenge by Ollie Scarles.

Meanwhile, Connor Ogilvie will also face a fresh spell on the sidelines after undergoing his second knee operation this summer.

This will now see the left-back remain sidelined for at least six weeks as he begins his recovery once again.

Franco Umeh is also facing an extended spell out after treating his hamstring in a pre-season friendly against Kuwait SC earlier this month.

Josef Bursik, Jacob Farrell, Harvey Blair, Mark Kosznovszky and Keshi Anderson will all sit out this weekend’s trip to Lincoln due to injury.

Mousinho did, though, reveal Marlon Pack is back in contention after completing his recovery from knee surgery last month.

The centre-back isn’t anticipated to return for another couple of weeks and will sit out alongside James Collins and Adam Jackson.

Referee

The EFL have yet to confirm their refereeing selection for this Saturday’s contest at Sincil Bank.
