'Not in right frame of mind': Striker to continue absence amid Portsmouth transfer interest
Pompey are interested in a late transfer window move for Burton Albion striker Tyrese Shade.
Gary Bowyer has revealed Pompey target Tyrese Shade has not been in the ‘right frame of mind’ to appear for Burton Albion this season amid ongoing speculation over his future.
And the head coach is adamant Tuesday’s transfer deadline ‘can’t come quick enough’ in order to put the summer transfer saga bed.
The 26-year-old has been tipped with a switch to Fratton Park in the final days of the window as John Mousinho looks to bolster his ranks.

Charlton Athletic have also been touted with a swoop for Shade, while Lincoln City, who had multiple £2m bids rejected for his services during the window, have since moved on to other targets and recently signed Manchester United striker Ethan Wheatley.
The St Kitts and Nevis international’s future has been under the spotlight after an outstanding emergence in League One for the Brewers last term.
After netting 14 goals in his maiden campaign at the Pirelli Stadium, his impressive form has alerted a number of Championship clubs - including Pompey, who are interested in the versatile attacker.

With speculation over his future mounting, Shade is yet to appear in a match-day squad this season, having been left out of their opening four matches in all competitions.
Bowyer has admitted the 26-year-old has not been in the right frame of mind to play, with late window interest growing.
Speaking to BBC Radio Derby, he said: ‘It’s been ongoing with him. He’s had a couple of injuries, he’s had niggles and he's not been in the right frame of mind.
‘It’s been tough for him but my job is to support him. We’ll see how he is before making the call again for the weekend.
‘But one thing is for certain after Tuesday at 11pm, he’s either with us or he isn’t.
‘That can’t come quick enough for everybody concerned because the boy needs some closure on it either way on it as well to help him, ourselves and the players in the dressing room.
‘He’s a wonderful talent. He knows how much I care and how much I value him from following him to making sure we got him in here.
‘And the way the staff have developed him over the last season to produce where he is at this moment in time.
‘Obviously, we need a conclusion either way.’

Pompey are in the market for a versatile attacker before the window’s climax next Tuesday.
Mousinho has hinted at the possibility of strengthening his front line following Thomas Waddingham’s serious injury setback earlier this month.
The Aussie is expected to miss 10 weeks of action after undergoing surgery following a challenge against West Ham in the Carabao Cup earlier this month.
With Adrian Segecic’s future under the spotlight in the final days, amid interest from Birmingham City, Pompey may be forced to delve into the market for an attacker once again.
Chris Davies’ side are keen on the 22-year-old after an outstanding campaign in the Championship at Fratton Park last term.
