The latest transfer headlines involving Pompey’s Championship rivals.

The summer transfer window is kicking into gear at Fratton Park as business begins to ramp up.

A host of new names have emerged in the rumour mill over the course of the past week, including Abu Kamara who has been touted with a sensational return to PO4.

Meanwhile, reports in Sweden have tipped Pompey with midfielder Jesper Ceesay from Turkish side Antalyaspor.

While transfer activity remains rife at Fratton Park, gossip and speculation is ramping up elsewhere in the Championship as clubs continue to press on with their business.

Here are the latest headlines from across the Championship.

QPR eyeing former Pompey forward

As Pompey look to secure a Fratton park return for one member of Mousinho’s title winning squad, another member of that side is of interest to one of the Blues’ Championship rivals.

QPR have identified forward Myles Peart-Harris as a potential attacking target this summer, with the 23-year-old set to become a free agent on July 1.

The ex-Brentford man spent the second half of the campaign with Oxford United, where he impressed despite the Us’ relegation to League One.

The former Chelsea youngster scored three goals and collected one assist in 20 appearances in all competitions after signing a short-term deal in January.

After Aaron Ramsey’s men released Peart-Harris at the end of the campaign, interest from the Championship and League One is growing.

Football League World have reported QPR are looking at the Fratton Park title winner as a possible option to bolster Julien Stephan’s frontline.

The west London outfit, though, do have competition for his signature, with recently relegated Leicester City also sounding out the ex-Swansea City and Forest Green loanee.

The report suggests the R’s are viewing Peart-Harris as a possible attacking target as they look to scour the free agent market.

The England youth international, of course, spent the second half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Fratton Park, where he netted two goals in 12 outings as the Blues secured the League One title.

Stoke City’s summer spending continues as Mark Robins assembles his squad for next term.

The Potters have already secured the signing of ex-Sheffield United loanee Djibril Soumare and former Pompey loanee Josh Griffiths during the opening weeks of the window.

After reports of interest in Swansea City talent Ethan Galbraith emerged last week, a move is believed to be close to completion.

Wales Online’s Tom Coleman has revealed Stoke are now set to land the versatile operator, who can play in midfield or at right-back, having had a bid north of £10m accepted by the Welsh side.

The Northern Ireland international still has two years remaining on his current terms and was also of interest to Wrexham and West Ham this summer.

Galbraith played an integral part in Vitor Matos’ side last term, netting three goals and two assists in 39 outings, which included a strike against Pompey in March.
