Understandably, there will be little optimism among the Fratton faithful following 15 defeats in 21 away matches for Pompey this season.
Still, Mousinho insists his team is now close to clicking on their travels and will be weighing up whether to recall Adil Aouchiche to bolster his side’s creativity.
Here is Neil Allen’s predicted Pompey line-up for the trip to Coventry Building Society Arena...
13. Sub 2 Terry Devlin
Started as the number 10 at Millwall, replacing Adil Aouchiche, and, as ever, put in a tremendous shift. His physicality and energy were excellent, but Adil Aouchiche's extra creativity could replace him at Coventry. Photo: Jason Brown
14. Sub 3 Mark O'Mahony
A back spasm felt in training the day before the trip to Millwall ruled O'Mahony out of the match. However, he was back in training on Monday and will come onto the bench to offer more attacking options. Photo: Nigel French
15. Sub 4 Alexander Milosevic
Many would like to see him promoted into the starting XI, particularly with his height. John Mousinho decided against introducing him off the bench at Millwall. Signed on a free transfer as cover, that is exactly what he is. Photo: Portsmouth FC
16. Sub 5 Marlon Pack
These days seen by John Mousinho as a more effective centre-half, but Pack also offers the ability to play in midfield. Photo: Jason Brown
