John Mousinho has spoken about ‘difficult decisions and difficult conversations’ as he weighs up changes during a gruelling period of three games in six days.
Here’s how we think the Blues could line up for tonight’s clash with that fellow Championship strugglers.
13. Sub 1: Jordan Archer
With Will Norris out with a knee issue, Archer will keep his place on the bench for a third straight match. Photo: Jason Brown
14. Sub 2: Marlon Pack
Considering Pompey face a gruelling three games in six days, this might be the time to rest their skipper. Photo: Jason Brown
15. Sub 3: Ryley Towler
The sole central-defensive back up to Regan Poole and Tom McIntyre. May yet be recalled soon if Mousinho decides to rest either of them in this period. Photo: Jason Brown
16. Sub 4: Matt Ritchie
Hasn’t even been introduced off the bench in four of the last six matches, capping a low-key start. Still plenty of time, however. Photo: Jason Brown/ProSportsImages
