Pompey are once again expecting a busy period of activity, with John Mousinho expecting as many as six new arrivals to come through the door.

9. Griffin Yow
A player Pompey were monitoring in the summer, though the Blues had more pressing priorities they pursued. The American talent is with KVC Westerlo in Belgium and operates down the right flank which Pompey will want to strengthen is Harvey Blair and Franco Umeh aren't deemed ready to be relied on in the new year. | Getty Images

10. Abubakr Barry
Pompey, Leeds and Hull were all credited with interest in the 6ft 3in Gambian midfielder last summer. Still with Austria Vienna and a player you wouldn't be surprised to see in the transfer gossip columns again. | Austria Wien

11. Jamal Lowe
Never any credence in talk of Pompey interest last summer, but that didn't stop the former Fratton favourite's name coming up! So no surprise if something similar happened in the new year, especially given the plight of his current club Sheffield Wednesday. | Getty Images

12. Charlie Savage
It wouldn't be a transfer window without Charlie Savage's name being mentioned! Obviously has a very good agent, because the Reading man's name is always out there, with the midfielder doing well under new boss Leam Richardson. | Getty Images
