Pompey are once again expecting a busy period of activity, with John Mousinho expecting as many as six new arrivals to come through the door.

In terms of targets, past behaviour is often a fair indication of what can happen in the future.
With that in mind, we’ve looked at past windows and the names who surfaced to see if there’s any potential clues over where Pompey can turn.
Of course, there will be some players linked with Pompey who are lot less credible than others with agents keen to see their clients names out there.

5. Amario Cozier-Duberry
A player who was watched by John Mousinho last year, with talk of a move mentioned in the summer window. Cozier-Duberry instead moved on to Blackburn Rovers, but is in League One with Bolton Wanderers this season - with the winger racking up seven goals and as many assists to date in all competitions. | Getty Images

6. Jed Wallace
Just bound to come up at some point as former Fratton favourite enters the final six months of his existing deal with West Brom. If it's not January, you can bet the talk will accelerate in the summer - especially if Pompey remain in the Championship. | Getty Images

7. Marc Leonard
Was linked with a Birmingham City exit this summer, with the likes of Huddersfield touted for a move. The former Brighton man was mentioned with Pompey in the 2024-25 summer window and with the Scot on the fringes of things at St Andrews there may well be more talk of a move in a few weeks. | Cameron Smith/Getty Images Photo: Cameron Smith/Getty Images

8. Ronan Hale
Pompey have been loosely mentioned in the past with the Northern Ireland striker who is scoring goals for fun for Ross County in the Scottish Championship, with Reading also said to be keen on the 27-year-old. A striker could well be on the Blues' shopping list in January. | SNS Group
