Progress continues at Wellington Way as transformation nears completion

While some aspects of the Waterlooville regeneration scheme have stalled, work at Wellington Way has almost completed.

Work began in April 2024 as developers Questmap set about renovating retail units and building first floor flats in a section of the town that had become an eyesore.

The building work was complemented with Havant Borough Councils vacant shop scheme attracting new businesses into the town. The likes of Babyccinos, Mini Town Role Play Café, Balance Wellness Club and Barbers Beauty Paws benefited from the scheme while a number of other businesses opened independent of the scheme.

Wellington Way now houses a broad range of businesses including a sweet shop, children's clothing store, a dance studio, natural dog food store and a reptile shop.

The public realm improvement in the town centre has faced delays with a meeting scheduled in May for an update on the project, however Wellington Way has undergone a dramatic transformation.
