'Reckless' and 'dangerous' driver banned from the roads after drifting into a hedge

Driver caught on camera crashing into hedge while drifting

A “reckless” driver who was caught on camera performing dangerous manoeuvres on Hampshire roads has been banned from driving.

Bradley Parsons was the driver of a BMW that was seen performing ‘donuts’ at an illegal car meet on October 25, 2025 before being caught on camera the next day crashing into a hedge in West Meon after attempting to drift around a corner.

He has been given a suspended sentence of 12 months imprisonment, disqualified from driving for two years and will require an extended retest before being allowed to drive again.

At the illegal car meet in Arkwright Road, Reading, videos uploaded to social media showed Parson’s green BMW performing ‘donuts’ around a person standing in the road with a large crowd gathered close to the vehicle. The very next day footage showed him accelerating from the traffic lights at the junction of the A272 and A32 causing a wheel spin before he lost control and crashed into a hedge.

Police Sergeant James Hall said: "On both occasions his driving was deliberate, reckless, and intended to show off to spectators.

"The video of him crashing clearly shows that he lost control of the car, which is easily done when attempting to drive in such a dangerous manner. This was a busy junction with pedestrians and other motorists and quite frankly, he is lucky that nobody - including himself - was seriously injured or worse."

Parsons appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on May 11 where he was also ordered to pay £357 costs and surcharge and complete 200 hours of unpaid work.
