Old Portsmouth vacant plot Camber Point remains on sale with prospective plans for 14 new homes
Fenced off land with potential for development remains on sale
Despite generating interest from developers, an extensive plot of land with prospective plans to build 14 new homes remains unsold.
The plot of land, in Old Portsmouth, spans 0.423 acres and was previously granted planning permission for seven townhouses, seven apartments, a four storey block comprising of two restaurants or cafes and parking back in 2006.
A spokesperson from Vail Williams has confirmed that the property consultants are continuing to discuss the site with various parties - but it is yet to be sold.

Camber Point, which has been levelled and has benefited from new hoardings, has been described as a “highly desirable” plot with “outstanding views” of the Solent and Gunwharf Quays.
Fullers previously commissioned HGP Architects to create “feasibility designs” for a new hotel which would house 80 rooms, a generous reception and a fine dining area with a raised ground floor for flood protection. However, a spokesperson for the pub and hotel company confirmed they decided against developing the site.
The Vail Williams listing has also outlined the “potential for alternative” use, subject to planning permission approval. The plot description continues: “The site is located at the northern end of Broad street on Old Portsmouth's highly desirable "Spice Island" peninsular, in the heart of the Conservation Area.
“The area offers a mix of character townhouses, aprtments, commercial uses and public realm including The Point off bath square and the millennium promenade (to be extended around the site as part of the consent). Nearby historic buildings include Portsmouth Cathedral and the Round Tower, which was built around 1418 to defend the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour.”
