The opening date of a new coffee shop has been confirmed

The family-owned chain Coffee Cup, which started in Portsmouth, has revealed that its latest branch will open on Tuesday, May 12.

This one is in Hambledon Road in Denmead, and follows the company’s other sites on Eastney Esplanade, Clarence Pier, the Alver Valley, Portchester Precinct and Waterlooville town centre, which opened in December.

Area manager Stewart Parsons said: “We are all very excited to soon be opening the doors on our sixth Coffee Cup location. This follows on from the great success at our Waterlooville coffee house, within the main shopping precinct, which we opened in December.

“We very much look forward to meeting a host of new customers to our brand and introducing our award winning coffee to them, alongside a great selection of hot and cold treats.

“We have recruited and trained a whole new team of local people and we’re just putting the finishing touches to the coffee house to be able to welcome our first customers when the doors open at 8am on Tuesday.”

The Coffee Cup started with a mobile kiosk on Eastney Esplanade in 2007, which has since become a coffee house.
