Amparo Lounge opening date announced as family-friendly restaurant gets ready to join Whiteley's vibrant food and drink scene

Amparo Lounge will be opening in the outdoor shopping centre on Wednesday, July 1 in the unit previously occupied by Frankie & Benny’s. The new café-bar promises to deliver “top-notch” food and provide a home away from home for its customers.

Verity Vincent, head of community partnerships at Lounge says: “We can’t wait to open the doors to Amparo Lounge this summer. We’re confident our family‑friendly atmosphere and top‑notch food and drink will be a hit with Whiteley’s shoppers and local residents.

“We’re passionate about becoming a genuine part of the communities we serve, and we’re looking forward to meeting everyone and playing our part in Whiteley Shopping Centre’s vibrant food and drink scene. Anyone looking for a space to host events or regular meet‑ups is very welcome to pop in once we’re open—we’d love to see how we can support them.”

The new café will be open from morning until late evening serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks. It is a part of Loungers, a West Country-based group that has eateries around the country.

Mia Gordon, centre director at Whiteley, added: “The addition of a well-loved all-day dining brand like Loungers strengthens our growing food and drink offer and gives visitors even more choice when planning a day out here.

“Whether people are stopping for breakfast before shopping, meeting friends for lunch or winding down with dinner and drinks, Amparo Lounge will add another.”
