Young bus fan's dream comes true at Stagecoach's Portsmouth depot

Five-year-old bus enthusiast Dylan from Pulborough has continued his exciting bus adventures with a special visit to Stagecoach's Portsmouth depot, following a memorable experience at the company's Aldershot depot.

With a passion for buses that began when he was just two years old, Dylan was delighted to have another opportunity to get up close to his favourite vehicles and experience life behind the scenes at a working bus depot.

Dylan's fascination with buses first began at a local event featuring the Platinum Jubilee bus, where he had the chance to sit in the driver's cab, hold the steering wheel, sound the horn and explore the vehicle. Ever since, buses have played a huge part in his everyday life.

“There isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't mention a bus,” said Laura, Dylan's mother. “He could talk about them all day. We travel on a variety of buses, but when I ask him his favourite, he always says the Stagecoach Gold bus. He even has the model at home.”

His enthusiasm doesn't stop at everyday bus journeys. Dylan regularly attends bus-related events, from festive Santa buses to larger showcases such as the Farnborough Airshow, often impressing those around him with his remarkable knowledge of bus routes, stops and vehicles.

Having already enjoyed a special visit to Stagecoach's Aldershot depot, Dylan's latest trip to Portsmouth marks another exciting chapter in his love of buses, giving him the chance to discover a different depot and learn more about the vehicles that keep local communities moving.
