Extra tickets for popular Standing With Giants installation at Fort Nelson snapped up
Extra tickets released for a hugely popular and poignant D-Day tribute art installation have now sold out.
The ‘For Your Tomorrow – The People’s Tribute’ installation by Standing With Giants has been running since October 22 at Fort Nelson with visitors clamouring for tickets. Earlier this week it was announced that extra tickets had been made available for the remainder of the display which closes on January 25.
Visitors wasted no time in getting their hands on the tickets with Fort Nelson now confirming that all tickets to the event have once again been sold out.
A post on the Royal Armouries Fort Nelson’s social media said: “All tickets have now gone for our Standing with Giants D-Day tribute at Fort Nelson. Having a pre-booked ticket is the only way to guarantee entry to Fort Nelson.
“Due to the popularity of the Standing with Giants installation we have increased the pre-booked capacity onsite and made operational changes. Available capacity, due to cancellations, will be assessed daily each afternoon. If we have any available tickets, they will be released on site on a first-come first served basis.”
The event will finish on January 25 with the organisers stating there is no possibility of it being extended. Fort Nelson has advised visitors not to travel to the site if they do not have a pre-booked ticket.
