Fareham's Big Weekend returns with fun-filled family activities - everything you need to know
A summer event is returning
A fun-filled weekend promises to keep families entertained as a popular event makes a return.
Following the success of last year, Fareham Borough Council has announced Fareham’s Big Weekend will be making its comeback on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5.

The two-day event will take place across multiple locations in and around Fareham Town Centre, including Bath Lane Recreation Ground, Fareham Leisure Centre, Fareham Live, Fareham Shopping Centre, West Street and the Civic Garden area.
Partner organisations will come together to deliver a packed programme celebrating the town’s community, culture and leisure offer. From 10am to 4pm on both days, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a wide range of free and low cost activities, including cricket matches, lawn games, live music and dancing, street performers, a farmer’s market and a splash pad.
Youngsters will also be able to get involved in inflatable pool sessions, bubble shows and workshops, mini golf, funfair rides and graffiti workshops.
Executive member for leisure and community at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Connie Hockley, said: “I am delighted that Fareham’s Big Weekend is returning this year. This will be a fantastic weekend for our whole community and a great opportunity to showcase everything that Fareham has to offer.”
On top of the extensive lineup, Community First’s community showcase on Saturday will feature a variety of community stalls, entertainment and activities at Bath Lane Recreation Ground, while Sunday will see a fun dog show and activities hosted by Fareham Doggy Daycare at the same location.
