Delight at modern new kit for Fareham Bowls Club
New look for this bowling club
Fareham Bowling Club, Leigh Road, introduces a striking new club shirt and black shorts/trousers for its members updating its design for a modern look.

This years’ President, at the club, David Bane, said: “It has been a long time with our previous shirts which were designed some 20 years ago. We have stayed with the club colours but updated the design which is quite striking on the green. We will no longer be wearing our white trousers either. We have changed to black shorts and trousers too. Not sure if it will improve our game, but it is certainly bright, bold and very smart.”
Members are embracing the change at the start of the summer season along with many other clubs across the Gosport and Fareham (G & F) area, which have also updated their team kits with more modern and colourful designs.

The presidents chosen charity this year is Rowans Hospice. With collections already started and many charity events have been planned throughout the year too. The club prides itself on running entertainment for its members, not just during the outdoor season but also through the winter months.
Bob Alger, Treasurer and a coach at the club said: “We love to give people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to give bowling a try. If you missed the come and try day this year, please give me a call on 07758 801739 and book onto a session. You never know it might be the perfect sport for you. It’s great to be outdoors enjoying the sunshine and meeting new people, not only at the Fareham club, as we also play matches against other clubs in the area and organise friendly games outside of the league, hosting visiting clubs too.”
