Where Portsmouth rank in the latest Championship xG table
How does Portsmouth’s attacking threat compare to their Championship rivals?
Portsmouth should be doing marginally better than they are so far in the 2026/27 season, according to the latest Championship xG table.
John Mousinho’s men sit 18th in the Championship after playing six matches of the new campaign. Pompey began their Championship account in August with a 3-1 home defeat to QPR, then went on the road to secure a 3-1 win at Lincoln City.Defeats against Bristol City and Derby County followed, but Pompey got back to winning ways with a 2-0 home win over Cardiff City. Last time out, the club drew 0-0 with Charlton in London.

This leaves Pompey 18th on 7 points, three points clear of the relegation zone at this early stage in the season.
