The League Two finale saw Paul Cook’s side clinch the title at Fratton Park after pipping Plymouth and Doncaster Rovers to the post.
A seven goal thriller was played out at PO4 as Pompey ran out 6-1 winners over the Robins.
Goals from Kyle Bennett, Kal Naismith (2), Jamal Lowe, Gareth Evans and aDaniel O'Shaughnessy OG saw the Blues’ four season spell in England's lowest professional tier come to an end.
We take a look at the starting 11 from that day and where they’re now.

9. Carl Baker: 50 appearances
The right-midfielder played 45 times in Pompey’s successful League Two campaign and was a key player in the Blues’ promotion. However, following Kenny Jackett’s appointment in 2017, Baker would only go on to play 4 times before he left for India the same summer. An unsuccessful spell in India for ATK and a return to Coventry has since seen the 38-year-old play for Nuneaton Borough. Picture: Joe Pepler Photo: None

10. Kal Naismith: 91 appearances
The versatile Scotsman was a regular performer during his time at Fratton Park, which prompted a reunion with Paul Cook at Wigan in 2018. Naismith stuck with the Latics during their financial troubles but eventually left the DW last January for Luton where he often operates at left back. 11. Kyle Bennett: 117 appearances
Across 117 appearances at Fratton Park, the winger scored 13 goals but again fell out of favour with new manager Kenny Jackett and left PO4 in January 2018. Bennett spent 18 months at Bristol Rovers which also included a loan spell at Swindon. The 31-year-old was a part of the squad relegated at Grimsby's and was released in the summer where he now plays for National League North side AFC Telford. 12. Conor Chaplin: 122 appearances
The Blues academy graduate scored 25 times for the club and started on the day Pompey won League Two. Chaplin left the south coast for Coventry in 2018 before a move to Championship side Barnsley a year later. The 24-year-old proved his quality in the championship before a shock move to Ipswich in the summer and he scored in Ipswich’s 4-0 hammering of Pompey two weeks ago.
