An own goal from Daniel O'Shaughnessy would start the rout in the first half before goals from Kyle Bennett, Gareth Evans, Jamal Lowe and a Kal Naismith double was enough to start the party at a packed out PO4.
Now five years on, the Blues remain in League One with none of the members from that squad still in Danny Cowley’s side.
We take a look at the 18-man squad from that day and where they are now.
Read through to see where some of those forgotten names are.

13. Jack Whatmough
Despite coming through the academy, the defender only amassed 137 appearances in Blue. He failed to negotiate fresh terms with Pompey last summer and joined Wigan where he has since enjoyed promotion to the Championship with ex-Blues coach Leam Richardson. Photo: Joe Pepler

14. Amine Linganzi
The midfielder made 23 appearances in all for the Blues during that campaign but would be one of a number of players to leave that summer. Spells at Swindon and Salford would follow and the 32-year-old remains without a club but is now an ambassador for sports brand Puma. Photo: Joe Pepler

15. Stanley Aborah
Aborah only managed to make 122 minutes worth of action during the campaign and would go on to quit football that summer. Although he made a return to the sport with Irish outfit Waterford, the midfielder’s time didn't last long. Now living in Belgium the 34-year-old has been a sales manager at Cask BVBA as well as an ambassador for the Holland Ghana Foundation. Photo: Joe Pepler

16. Gary Roberts
The final day triumph would prove to be Roberts’ last outing for the Blues after failing to be a part of Kenny Jackett’s plan. The midfielder would follow Cook to Wigan that summer before having spells at Bala Town and Acrington. The 39-year-old linked up with his former boss at Ipswich and became assistant coach during his time at Portman Road. Photo: Joe Pepler
