An own goal from Daniel O'Shaughnessy would start the rout in the first half before goals from Kyle Bennett, Gareth Evans, Jamal Lowe and a Kal Naismith double was enough to start the party at a packed out PO4.
Now five years on, the Blues remain in League One with none of the members from that squad still in Danny Cowley’s side.
We take a look at the 18-man squad from that day and where they are now.
Read through to see where some of those forgotten names are.

9. Kal Naismith
Naismith finished the season as the Blues’ top scorer and netted two on the final day. After another season at Fratton Park, he joined Wigan in 2018 and impressed in the Championship under Paul Cook. he left the DW Stadium after financial struggles at the club joining Luton and has since been converted into a more defensive sided player. Now captain of the Hatters, he led Nathan Jones’ side to the Championship play-offs - making 42 outings this season. Photo: Joe Pepler

10. Kyle Bennett
The winger made 113 outings in a Pompey shirt during his two-and-a-half years at Fratton Park before joining Bristol Rovers in 2018. During the Covid lockdown in 2020, he set-up Nextinction which makes ethically-made clothes with profits going to environmental charities. Like Rose, the 31-year-old was relegated to the National League with Grimsby and now finds himself playing for Hednesford Town in the Southern League Premier Division Central. Photo: Harry Murphy

11. Conor Chaplin
The Pompey academy graduate made 122 appearances in total for the Blues - scoring 25 times. After an impressive season with Coventry, Chaplin joined Barnsley where he scored 15 times in 85 outings in the Championship which resulted in a play-off heartbreak last season. The 25-year-old would then make a shock move to Ipswich that summer and netted against the Blues in a 4-0 rout in October. Photo: Harry Murphy

12. Liam O'Brien
It was O’Brien’s second spell at Pompey after coming through the youth system as a youngster. Yet, he never made a league appearance for the Blues that season and would later join Coventry that summer. A spell at Yeovil would follow before joining Stratford Town in the Southern League Premier Division Central in 2020 where he continues to play now. Photo: Joe Pepler
