That makes predicting the Blues line-up for tonight’s game against Fleetwood rather easy, with Cam Pring likely to be the only change to the team that beat Ipswich so comfortably on Saturday.
He’s expected to replace the injured Lee Brown at left-back, with manager Kenny Jackett unlikely to change a winning team for such a big game.
However, with a bench still packed full with quality, there’s no room for anyone taking their starting place for granted.
The likes of Rasmus Nicolaisen, Michael Jacobs, Jordy Hiwula and Ellis Harrison will all be busting to be involved.
But what better way to keep them on the bench than to put in another top performance against a promotion rival.
He’s the team we think Jackett will turn to to keep that promotion push going.

5. Left-back - Cam Pring
Might feel he hasn't been given a chance to prove his worth given Lee Brown's consistency this season. But with Pring likely to replace the vice-captain for the big games on the horizon, he's got the chance to nail down regular starting position. Photo: Simon Davies

6. Right-midfield Ryan Williams
Work-rate and adaptability all season has proven vital. Now he's added goals to his game after double at Ipswich. When Williams is in form, Pompey are in form. Photo: PinPep

7. Central midfield - Tom Naylor
Christian Burgess recently described the captain as 'under-rated' in his recent appearance on Pompey Talk. First name on the team sheet at the moment. Photo: Joe Pepler

8. Centre-midfield - Andy Cannon
Provides so much energy and his run in the team is well-deserved. Just needs to add goals now to all-round game. Photo: PinPeP
