That makes predicting the Blues line-up for tonight’s game against Fleetwood rather easy, with Cam Pring likely to be the only change to the team that beat Ipswich so comfortably on Saturday.
He’s expected to replace the injured Lee Brown at left-back, with manager Kenny Jackett unlikely to change a winning team for such a big game.
However, with a bench still packed full with quality, there’s no room for anyone taking their starting place for granted.
The likes of Rasmus Nicolaisen, Michael Jacobs, Jordy Hiwula and Ellis Harrison will all be busting to be involved.
But what better way to keep them on the bench than to put in another top performance against a promotion rival.
He’s the team we think Jackett will turn to to keep that promotion push going.

Was again left on the bench despite Pompey being in control of game at Ipswich. Only Jackett know why! Photo: .

Reinforces the quality Pompey have on the bench at present. But needs to do more when called upon if he is to swap the dug-out for more minutes on the pitch. Photo: Joe Pepler
