Fresh update over Portsmouth pursuit of defender amid deadline-day search

Pompey are expected to be busy in the final knockings of the transfer window.

Pompey’s pursuit of Luke Graham appears to have come to an end.

That’s according to BBC Scotland reporter Tyrone Smith, who has revealed the Dundee defender is staying put in the Scottish Premiership.

The Blues were heavily linked with a deadline-day swoop for the 21-year-old, who was also on the radar of Championship rivals.

The Scottish talent was on standby to fly south on the final day of the window to complete a medical if an agreement was reached.

That avenue now appears to be shut, according to reports north of the border, who have made it clear the defender will be staying put.

Pompey have also been linked with a move for Haugesund centre-back Madiodio Dai.
