It’s not been three weeks since the Blues’ season came to and end, but a host of players have already been linked with a move to Fratton Park.
As a result, News reporters Jordan Cross and Sam Cox sat down and discussed every name touted to join Danny Cowley’s side to date.
Figures from the Premier League down to the National League have been mooted as potential signings – with varying degrees of truth to each rumour.
Here’s what they had to say on each individual.

9. Kion Etete - Spurs
Cross said: 'It's one that I've had firmed up that Pompey are keen on. A skill for us as journalists is to find out where he is on the list, but he's certainly one that has interested Danny Cowley, like one or two others. They want George Hirst, obviously, but they may have to be patient with him. Cowley probably wants four strikers. If one or two are more mobile Etete could be one - as could Kyle Wootton.' 10. Brandon Thomas-Asante - Salford City
Cox said: 'It's gone very quiet on the Thomas-Asante front after he was linked before the end of the season. An interest that needs to be revisited by us - but I have my doubts' Photo: Lewis Storey

11. Aaron Collins - Bristol Rovers
Cross said: 'Danny Cowley has been publicly speaking about him on Quest and he is one the Blues manager would "definitely like to take" -- which is the phrase which has been quoted to me. His stock is very high and is a very popular player. He will come at a fee, though, so Pompey would have to exercise this remit of young, hungry players on the rise because he will come at a cost.' 12. Kyle Joseph - Swansea
Cross said: ‘Joseph is a good size, mobile and fits the remit to what Pompey are looking for. It’s one I’m looking to make a few more in-roads in and won’t try to blag it! He’s not one I have a good steer on, but I can see why he’s one of the names to be mentioned.' Photo: Alex Davidson
