Pompey’s Championship season began with a disappointing 3-1 defeat to QPR.
John Mousinho’s men started superbly, taking a 15-minute lead through Terry Devlin’s stunning 30-yard strike - and had opportunities to add to that.
However, QPR responded with three goals in the last 12 minutes of the first half, all through poor defensive moments, with Ilias Chair (two) and Koki Saito registering.
Pompey could find no way back, despite introducing Josh Murphy and Ryan Kvumba-McQueen in the second half, and slumped to a Fratton Park defeat.
Here are our Pompey player ratings...

9. Abu Kamara - 5
(Replaced by Josh Murphy on 65 mins) Thrown straight into Mousinho’s starting XI following his return from Hull and looked a little laboured, certainly not at his sharpest. Had some great scoring opportunities, including not taking Adams’ pass first time and not capitalising when presented with an open goal after Charles’ mistake. | Portsmouth FC

10. Adrian Segecic - 5
Found himself back into the number 10 role he looks most suited for and, as ever, buzzed around looking to cause problems. Spurned one right-footed chance in the first half. | Stephen Flynn/ProSportsImages

11. Luke Brooke-Smith - 7
(Replaced on 46 mins by Ryan Kavuma-McQueen) - A really lively first-half and the Blues’ most dangerous attacking player with his directness and work-rate down the left flank. Pace of game may have got to him, though, and third goal started down his side. | Chris Foxwell/ProSportsImages

12. Colby Bishop - 5
Battled away gamely up front, without ever really looking like threatening the goal. Was paired with Milovanovic in attack for the final 18 minutes in the hunt for goals, and set him up a couple of times. | Chris Foxwell/ProSportsImages
