Myles Peart-Harris netted two goals in 12 appearances for Pompey on their way to the League One title.
Pompey and Oxford United fans have been left stunned on social media after Middlesbrough announced the signing of Myles Peart-Harris.
The 23-year-old departed the Kassam Stadium following the U’s relegation to League One after an underwhelming stay during the second half of the campaign.
The attacking midfielder, who secured the League One title with Pompey in 2024, netted three goals and provided one assist in 20 appearances in all competitions after penning a short-term deal from Brentford.
Following his Oxford exit, Peart-Harris has since been linked with QPR and Leicester City as he went in search of a new home.

But days after being touted with a move to league One, the ex-Chelsea man has signed for Championship promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough.
Boro are looking to put their play-off final disappointment to bed as Kim Hellberg target’s another bid at securing a return to the Premier League.
And Peart-Harris is the first name through the door at the Riverside Stadium this summer, which has seen him pen a four-year deal.
The ex-Jamaica youth international, of course, spent time on loan at Fratton Park after joining on a temporary basis from Brentford in January 2024,
Since then, Peart-Harris has featured for the Bees at senior level as well as spending time on loan at Swansea City and on a permanent basis with Oxford United.
And the Fratton faithful and U’s fans have both been left surprised with the midfielder’s shock switch to promotion-chasing Middlesbrough as they gave their verdict on social media.
