In-demand Rangers sensation poised for Ibrox exit after summer Portsmouth and Bristol City links
Pompey were one of three Championship clubs toured with Rangers youngster Calum Adamson earlier this summer.
Pompey were linked with a move for young Rangers sensation Calum Adamson earlier this summer, but speculation was wide of the mark.
The report claimed the Ibrox youth product was on the Blues radar along with Middlesbrough and Bristol City as well as Premier League duo Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.

Rangers sensation set for exit amid Pompey summer links
While a move to Fratton Park is wide of the mark, the Scotland youth international looks poised to depart Glasgow during the current window.
A fresh report north of the border from our sister paper, The Scotsman, has suggested the young talent is being looked at by Scottish Premiership duo Kilmarnock and St Mirren.
It is believed the top-flight duo are keen to recruit Adamson this summer, who is expected to be available on a loan deal.
The midfielder is also attracting some interest from League Two Swindon Town, but is expected to remain in Scotland next season to continue his development.
The Pompey-linked man has yet to feature under new boss Derek McInnes in pre-season so far - further hinting his short-term future lies away from Ibrox.
Having come through the ranks with the Gers, Adamson is yet to make his senior debut for Rangers but has appeared in four matchday squads to date, of which three have been in the Europa League.
The highly-rated playmaker’s stock is, however, at a career high after an outstanding spell with Alloa Athletic last season.
An outstanding loan stint at the Indodrill Stadium saw him net four goals and collect five assists in 30 appearances as Andy Graham’s side narrowly missed out on promotion from Scotland’s third tier.
Following his return to Ibrox earlier this summer, a short-term move away now looks likely as Adamson continues his development at senior level.
John Mousinho’s Fratton Park engine room
Pompey have added two new faces to the engine room this summer, with Odin Bailey arriving from Stockport County on a free transfer and Rocco Shein completing a £2m switch from Fredrikstad.
The duo join Ebou Adams, Luke Le Roux, Marlon Pack and Mark Kosznovszky as the current options in the middle of the park.
That figure, though, is expected to change, with Le Roux’s future lying away from Fratton Park less than a year after /his £1m signing.
Meanwhile, Marlon Pack is presently sidelined with a knee issue and Mark Kosznovszky is not expected to be registered to the Blues’ 26-man squad for the first half of the season as he continues his recovery from a long-term ACL and MCL injury.
With Adams, Bailey and Shein the current options, the head coach is still looking to recruit a new holding midfielder into his ranks this summer.
