It’s expected to be a busy summer at Fratton Park as Pompey look to progress in the Championship next season.
There’s plenty of uncertainty in the air on the south coast, with the Blues braced for interest in a number of key personnel including Terry Devlin and Adrian Segecic after stellar campaigns.
Meanwhile, the future of John Mousinho remains uncertain, with his name still tipped with the Bristol City vacancy, while a fellow unnamed Championship club also has the Blues boss in their sights.
Four members of the squad have already departed since the season’s conclusion, including Andre Dozzell, along with Pompey’s six loan players.
But who’s still here at Fratton Park and what’s needed for next term?
We’ve taken a look at what the Blues’ strongest XI and bench looks like at present to work out what areas need strengthening and what is required in this summer’s transfer window

9. RW: Keshi Anderson
It was an injury-hit second half of the campaign for Anderson, who sustained two separate hamstring problems following his January arrival. But the 30-year-old did show plenty of promise, adding flair and attacking threat to Mousinho’s frontline. Should he stay fit, the winger will be key going into next term. | Graham Hunt

10. CAM: Adrian Segecic
After a brilliant maiden campaign in English football for Segecic, interest is growing in the talented 21-year-old. Indeed, clubs from the Championship, Premier League and on the continent are currently on the forward’s trail as his stock continues to grow. With Conor Chaplin’s loan over, Segecic and John Swift are the Blues’ sole number 10 options at present, with the frontline in need of some surgery this summer. | Getty Images

11. LW: Josh Murphy
Murphy was heavily impacted by injury during the campaign, with his availability limited due to a calf issue as well as a fractured metatarsal. The Blues will be hoping the winger will stay fit next season, with his attacking threat and creativity vital to Mousinho’s frontline. | Alun Roberts/ProSportsImages

12. ST: Colby Bishop
The number nine role is one of the main areas to strengthen this summer after a frustrating season in front of goal for all of Mousinho’s strikers. Bishop surprisingly struggled, netting just three league goals, while Makenzie Kirk and Thomas Waddingham scored just once between them. A new striker will no doubt be on top of the Blues’ shopping list in the transfer window, if they want to progress next term. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
