It’s expected to be a busy summer at Fratton Park as Pompey look to progress in the Championship next season.
There’s plenty of uncertainty in the air on the south coast, with the Blues braced for interest in a number of key personnel including Terry Devlin and Adrian Segecic after stellar campaigns.
Meanwhile, the future of John Mousinho remains uncertain, with his name still tipped with the Bristol City vacancy, while a fellow unnamed Championship club also has the Blues boss in their sights.
Four members of the squad have already departed since the season’s conclusion, including Andre Dozzell, along with Pompey’s six loan players.
But who’s still here at Fratton Park and what’s needed for next term?
We’ve taken a look at what the Blues’ strongest XI and bench looks like at present to work out what areas need strengthening and what is required in this summer’s transfer window

5. CB: Conor Shaughnessy
It was another injury-hit campaign for the Irishman, who missed large parts of the season due to hamstring and quad issues. Pompey currently have six centre-backs in their ranks, but do have their sights set on fresh options with Dundee defender Luke Graham still firmly on their radar. 6. LB: Connor Ogilvie
Pompey revealed last week that Ogilvie has been offered fresh terms to remain at Fratton, with Mousinho insisting the left-back is happy on the south coast. Should the 30-year-old depart, though, the Blues would be incredibly short on the left, with Jacob Farrell the only natural option currently contracted for next term. | Toyin Oshodi/ProSportsImages

7. CM: Marlon Pack
Pack penned a new 12-month deal earlier this month after an outstanding campaign on the south coast. The skipper played an influential role in Pompey’s survival bid and will be a key member in next season’s plans. 8. CM: Ebou Adams
Adams was a brilliant addition to the engine room in January, adding much-needed physicality and power in the middle of the park. The 30-year-old is another member of the squad who is expected to be a frontline operator for the Blues next term. | Graham Hunt
