'Pay the premium. A good price': No-nonsense Portsmouth verdict on Adrian Segečić valuation amid Birmingham City chase
Pompey are braced for late window transfer interest in Adrian Segečić.
Adrian Segečić’s transfer valuation has been discussed at length by the Fratton faithful on social media amid Birmingham City’s interest in the attacker.
While no formal bid has been received, it is certainly something John Mousinho’s side are bracing themselves for in the coming days , with the Croatian already scoring two goals in three games this season.

The Blues are in a healthy position regarding Segečić’s future, with two years still remaining on the three-year deal he penned following his six-figure switch from Sydney FC in June 2025.
The attacking midfielder enjoyed a successful maiden campaign in English football, netting 11 goals and registering four assists as he finished as the club’s top scorer. That form has subsequently continued, with the young forward appearing on the scoresheet against West Ham and Lincoln City so far this term.
Mousinho stated it would take a ‘significant’ figure for Pompey to cash in Segečić, with clubs across the Championship splashing the cash in eye-watering deals for attackers during the summer.
Norwich City spent £10m to land Andre Brooks from Sheffield United, Southampton completed the capture of Lewis Dobbin in a £9m deal from Aston Villa, while Stoke City paid Swansea City £10m for Ethan Galbraith.
And amid talk of late-window interest in the Pompey man, the Fratton faithful have taken to social media to share their thoughts on how much the Blues should value Adrian Segečić in the current market.

@Boxy200: So would I and reinvest which the owners have shown they’d do. Good business at 7m + if that’s true.
@TomBeeson79317: Isn't every player available at the right price? 10m-12m is a good price for Pompey I would imagine. If Birmingham wants him then they will have to pay the premium.
@KarenBisho99216: £5m is far too cheap £7m-9m is more realistic.
@BoxingFanaticII: There is no right price days ahead of the window closing. They should be told to do one and come back next summer with a £20m cheque.
@MousinhosMoose: Given we don't have to sell what we see as right price. Talk of £7m I think is a good price. People say about his goal contribution but outside a very good April (50% of his goal contribution came) he had an ok 1st season. Interesting if he wants move & doesn't get it.
@BlueArmyAlex: £10 million minimum at this stage in the window.
@reece_w99: Just makes zero sense to sell to me. Doesn't make sense on a football level and doesn't make much sense on a financial level either.
We'd risk crippling our season for the sake of a pretty middle of the range transfer fee relative to the level. No time to reinvest either.
If he goes and bags 10-15 goals again and keeps playing the way he is this season, there'll be bigger clubs after him and he'd be worth a lot more than £7m anyway. Feels like we'd just be getting excited at the first sign of a decent offer for one of our players.
@SuperSala93: 15 Million plus add ons minimum at this stage of the window anything less is a joke.
@PompeyReal9019: For me if it’s 7 million+ and a big IF it’s reinvested in the squad I’m not against it. He’s had some stand out games however so many players have 10 games like this and fall off a cliff. He may not however I’d be tempted to take the cash!
@MaccaBoy54: It's inevitable Segecic will move at some point, it fits the whole buy and sell model HOWEVER I think it would be the wrong decision to let Segecic go now this late in the window.
