'What a joke. Crazy decision': Shocked Portsmouth faithful vent frustrations over failed red card appeal

The Fratton faithful have shared their thoughts on social media over Pompey’s starting XI and bench to take on Middlesbrough this afternoon.

John Mousinho made two changes to the side who claimed a 2-2 draw against Oxford United five days ago on Easter Monday, with Madiodio Dia and Jordan Williams starting at the Riverside Stadium.

Conor Shaughnessy drops to the bench as the Blues continues to manage his fitness, while the club were unsuccessful on their appeal for Connor Ogilvie’s red card picked up in the 17th minute against the U’s.

With Zak Swanson still sidelined due to a knee issue, Williams comes into the side for his first start since December’s 1-1 draw against Derby County.

Meanwhile, Thomas Waddingham is named in a 20-man squad for the first time since August having recovered from a quad issue, which has forced him to miss seven months of action.
