Is Portsmouth v Birmingham City on TV? Kick-off time? Tickets and how to watch Championship season finale
Pompey welcome Birmingham City to Fratton Park to round off their 2025-26 Championship campaign.
When is Pompey v Birmingham City?
The curtain comes down on another Championship campaign at Fratton Park this weekend as Pompey welcome Birmingham City to Fratton Park.
John Mousinho’s men have, of course, already secured their second-tier status for another campaign after an impressive recent run of form.
The Blues are seven-points clear of the bottom three at present and can better their 2024-25 points total with at least a point on the final dat.
Action at Fratton Park is set to get underway at the earlier time of 12:30pm, with all 12 Championship contests taking place on Saturday lunchtime.
Can I get tickets?
A capacity crowd is expected under the south coast sun on Saturday to catch a glimpse of Mousinho’s troops for one final time this term.
Less than a handful of tickets remain on sale, at the time of writing, for Blues supporters to purchase in the North Stand lower and South Stand upper.
Meanwhile, Birmingham City have sold out their 2,197-seat allocation in the Milton End to mark their first trip to PO4 since August 2019.
Will it be on TV and can I stream it?
Supporters unable to attend the season finale at Fratton Park will be able to watch the contest unfold on Sky Sports.
However, there will be no in-depth coverage or studio analysis, with the fixture set to be shown solely on Sky Sports+.
Coverage begins from 12.25pm and can be found on the Sky Sports+ channel or the Sky Sports red button.
Alternatively, a NOW TV membership can be purchased, with day passes to stream the match - as well as Sky Sports’ 12 other channels - available for £14.99.
Supporters can also follow every Pompey game live on Pompey+, the club’s official streaming platform.
UK-based fans can purchase an audio match pass for full live commentary. Overseas supporters can buy a video match pass to watch the game live.
Simply visit: www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/videos/subscriptions and select Match Passes - options will automatically appear based on your location.
The News will, as usual, be providing extensive online coverage, with team news, a live blog, match report, player ratings as well as player and manager reaction stories on portsmouth.co.uk.
Team news

The winger, who had his Birmingham contract mutually terminated in January prior to his Pompey switch, sustained a hamstring injury a fortnight ago against Leicester City and continues to sit out.
Meanwhile, Terry Devlin, who suffered a similar issue in the triumph over the Foxes, is also sidelined, along with Gustavo Caballero (groin).
Marlon Pack sat out the trip to Stoke City last week due to a number of minor set-backs, while Conor Shaughnessy sat out due to a slight calf issue. The duo will likely be assessed ahead of Saturday’s game.
Franco Umeh (hamstring), Mark Kosznovszky (knee), Aji Alese (quad), Zak Swanson (knee) and Josh Knight will all miss the season finale.
The winger was sidelined due to concussion protocols for their 2-1 victory over Bristol City last-time out, but is now back in contention.
Elsewhere, Lee Buchanan will continue to sit out, having been sidelined since December 2024 due to a knee injury.
Former Celtic man Kyogo Furuhashi underwent shoulder surgery earlier this month and will also sit out Saturday’s game.

The EFL have confirmed John Brooks will be the man in the middle at Fratton Park and will be joined by Simon Bennett, Natalie Aspinall and fourth official Oliver Mackey.
The 36-year-old has taken charge of just three Championship matches this season, having been a regular fixture in the Premier League instead. The official has dished out 81 bookings and handed out four red cards in 18 matches this term.
