It brought to a close a busy summer for the Blues, with Adrian Segecic, John Swift, Mark Kosznovszjy, Luke Le Roux, Florian Bianchini, Minhyeok Yang, Josh Knight, Josef Bursik, Franco Umeh, Mackenzie Kirk and Conor Chaplin all securing moves to PO4.
John Mousinho now has a new-look squad to choose from, having assembled his side for the Championship campaign.
With the transfer window now closed, we’ve taken a look what the Pompey’s strongest starting XI and bench could look like when every player is fit.
Do you believe this is the Blues’ best possible side?

9. RM: Callum Lang
There is so much depth to choose from now for Mousinho, who has plenty of options on the righ. Lang remains sidelined after undergoing hamstring surgery last month after sustaining an injury against Norwich City. 10. CAM: Conor Chaplin
The standout deadline day signing. It hasn’t really sunk in just yet but nonetheless, the forward os back and ready to make his mark at Fratton Park once again. Segecic has filled the number 10 role impressively in the opening games of the season and it is a tough decision to leave him out. However, there is no better replacement to come in than Chaplin, who made 22 appearances in the Premier League last term. | Portsmouth FC Photo: Portsmouth FC
11. LM: Josh Murphy
Going into deadline day, all eyes were on Josh Murphy and his Pompey future amid Leicester City interest. Pompey held firm on their position that the winger is not for sale and he remains at Fratton Park. A vitally important piece of business keeping the 30-year-old on the south coast. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages

12. ST: Colby Bishop
Pompey’s front four looks frightening on paper, with Bishop operating in front of Lang, Chaplin and Murphy. The Magic Man has one goal to his name already this season and will look to kick on in his second Championship campaign. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
